Anisah has a broad trial practice. She is a skilled advocate who can distill complex disputes into clear and precise issues in order to develop strategies to achieve her client’s objectives. She has experience dealing with a variety of matters, including in relation to contractual disputes, intellectual property, entertainment law, securities law, complex international arbitrations and class actions. She has appeared as counsel before all levels of court in Ontario and in international commercial arbitrations.
Anisah has particular expertise in deploying new technologies in the courtroom and was involved in the first all iPad trial in Ontario, a trial that was featured in the Financial Times’ ranking of Most Innovative North American Law Firms 2016. Anisah is fluent in English and French and is a former National Bilingual Debate Champion.
Acted successfully, at trial and on appeal, for the defendant in a claim for breach of contract and breach of duty of good faith in contractual performance.

Acted successfully at trial for Robert Schad and his company, Athena Automation Limited, defending a series of claims for misuse of confidential information against them by Husky Injection Molding Systems Limited. The claims were dismissed following a lengthy trial on the Commercial List.

Acted successfully, on the motion and on appeal, for Ire-Oluwa Health Services Inc. in dismissing an Ontario proceeding for lack of jurisdiction and forum non conveniens.

Acted successfully for the applicants in an application on the Commercial List to appoint a receiver, as well as to recognize and enforce two multimillion-dollar judgments of the Pennsylvania District Courts for fraudulent financing and claims under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act.
Money Gate Corp. et al.
Acted for the respondents in a merits hearing before the Ontario Securities Commission for alleged breaches of the Ontario Securities Act.
Represented HudBay Minerals Inc. in a large, complex international arbitration in Lima, Peru arising out of the construction of the Constancia Mine.
Rogers Communications Inc.
Acted for Rogers Communications Inc. in connection with a multibillion dollar class action proceeding across Canada to recover "system access fees" charged to consumers by wireless service providers in Canada, including successful motions and appeals in Alberta, Manitoba and Nova Scotia to dismiss additional national class actions as abuses of process.
Represented Rogers Communications Inc. in opposing successfully a widely publicized application for injunctive relief brought by indigenous leader Douglas Cardinal that, if granted, would have had the effect of preventing Rogers from broadcasting any baseball game involving the Cleveland Major League Baseball team. Subsequently represented Rogers in respect of the human rights complaint filed about the Cleveland team name and logo.
Successfully arbitrated a contractual dispute for a Québec-based client in the retail products industry. The dispute involved synthesizing the 20-year history of a series of multi-lateral relationships and resulted in a complete victory.

Acted for Sistem Muhendislik Insaat Sanayi Ve Ticaret Anonim Sirketi, a Turkish construction company, in its application before the Superior Court of Justice in Ontario for the recognition and enforcement of an arbitration award rendered against the Kyrgyz Republic in a case of illegal expropriation of an hotel it owned and operated in Bishkek, capital city of Kyrgyzstan.
